Are these things worth the money? The price is about $260. I've never heard of this place. Is a chip the better deal?

if I was going to buy a flasher of any sorts for tuning, i'd spend the extra and get something from http://www.superchipscustom.com that software is awesome! I just got a 4bank chip for mine done by a guy here in town and my car is running great. Will be dyno'n saturday with the Bama Mafia group.

The guy in town that deals with teh SCT now is Doug Studdard. A good friend of mine and heck of a guy. You can check his site at http://www.bamachips.com. Its the only tuning software/chip i will recommend now.

I have never driven a Mustang before. Would 15 hp and 18 lb/tq be felt easily after tuning?

You'll have to get a quote from Doug honestly. I dont like giving prices out on the internet, especially when its not my company.

I just moved to hoover acctually. I have a few friends in Helena though.

Hey Norm,

I'm glad your happy with it. I also gave you a multi-program chip instead of just a single program so in the future if you decide you'd like some more programs or something different then just let me know. All you'll need is a switch and cable along with some more programs.

Thanks, Doug904.

Lemme ask, how easy are these things to install?

As you can see I'm in Texas, but 10-15hp for that cheap is a really good deal.

The computer is a pita to get to because of where it's located. It's really not hard other than working it out. The most important thing is to clean the contacts.

It took me about an hour to install, most of that time was cleaning

man you just dont know how many times i've pulled mine out and put it back in. When Doug and I had my car on the dyno at a dyno day a few weeks back, you were alloted 35 minutes (counting the time it took to strap the car down). We made 2 pulls and doug was wanting to make a few changes. They told me I had 20min left so I had my chip out in like 2minutes, doug burnt it in 3-4, i had it back in and we made 2 more pulls before my time was up. I've gotten GOOD at taking the ECU out.
