SlamMan02, that's about the same as the 96-98GT's. Stock of course. Mine's not stock.

Your car looks great, money well invested. I wouldn't change anything on the exterior since it looks so nice, I'd look at engine mods.

I still have to perfect my manual shifting skills lol but all im going to do for now is small engine mods like pullies, high flow cats, headers. That should keep me busy for a while. lol

edit: Also what do you guys think about BBK short tube headers. I have got a friend that can sell them for me for some what cheap, but I would like to know if they are a good brand, good hp numbers, etc. thanks

Pulleys, Cold Air Intake, 70mm throttle body, Flowmaster Force II catback system. Gotta stay ahead of the stock 6 bangers somehow. x-pipe and supercharger are the next two purchases. I wanna keep up with the new GT. That's a great first Mustang and in Austin with your weather, you'll have plenty of good weather to drive in.

Don't know, haven't hit the dyno yet. I'm waiting until I get the x-pipe so I have all the basic mods done and a good base number before I put the supercharger on.

Nice ride.

What serial number are you? Just curious as my Roush S2 was built in 2001 as well. As far as performance numbers, you should be around stock V6 power. The Stage 1 package adds nothing but asthetics to the car and Roush doesn't even offer a cold air intake system for the 6 cylinder cars. It is a nice ride though. My last car was identical only it was laser red. As far as the hood scoop question, I would highly recommend it. My last car did not have one but my S2 does and it looks sweet; more aggressive.

Roush on!

does the Roush exhaust not make any difference?

The Roush Number is 3765...I have the pics but now i have to wait until my dad comes home and helps me load them onto the comp.

I'm 3875. The Roush exhaust has not been proven on a dyno. On a 6 you don't really gain any HP from running duals because it is a Y-pipe. If you modified it for true duals and added headers you would see an increase. The difference from stock though on the 3.8 or 4.6 is so insignificant and even a handful have claimed they felt their cars had less power if they did the conversion process. I have the S2 and there is vey little HP gain from stock, maybe 5-10 from the cold air system. The S2 handles like its on rails though!

ya i bet it handles good, u have the whole suspension setup I only have the roush springs...dont get me wrong because I love my car but i do wish i had more power-

-I was thinking about an engine swap cause I can get an engine failry cheap because my dads friend owns a junkyard and he gets wrecked Stang GTs in there all the time, but I dont know anything bout install time let alone labor hours.
-I was also pondering the idea of a turbo/sc and does anyone know how much labor costs would be??? thanks in advance

Also I dont plan to do any of this for another year at the earliest

Any of the items you have suggested will be costly; even more so if you are not planning to do the labor yourself. One thing to be glad about is that you have a 99+ V6, verses the single port intake of the 94-98 which puts out significantally less HP and many members say feels much slower as a result.

As far as a turbo or SC you are limited somewhat by the motor. You may have to make upgrades to your fuel system as well, but I think it depends on the setup. Most companies like Vortech sell a SC kit with everything you need. If you can do the install yourself or it will be a few hundred on top of the cost of the kit for the install.

I have very limited knowledge but my dad and my uncle would be willing to help and they have extended knowledge but only on 60-70 mustangs (cause thats what they drove and worked on through highschool and college)

Would you recomend having it professionally done or should i just reasearch the project and follow the instructions very carefully?

I've never done an install personally so I can't really say. I'd try asking around over at 3.8mustang to see if anyone there has done the install or not. I don't think it is super difficult if you have some motor experience, but its a big risk if you screw it up
