:bang: My 95 V6 has a sick engine. I've found recyclers on e-bay that offer complete engines removed from wrecks.

What other year's V6 can I drop in to my 95 without having to change anything else? Would I be able to drop a 96 or 98 V6 in without any trouble?

Help....

drop a GT engine. they are the same basically. even a 5.0 could fit if im not mistaken. with a new engine... and keep the V6 look. a total sleeper car.

Its a lil more complicated than just dropping the motor in. First you need to make sure the tranny would mount up. Since these are EFI motor's were talking about, gotta make sure the computer's will work and the wiring harness's match up properly.

If you want some more technicaly advice on this, check on http://forums.stangnet.com in their V6 area.

Yeah, like scothew said, even if you find out that your tranny will hook up to an engine, make sure you grab the correct wiring harness. I've seen too many cases of guys getting all excited after setting up an engine to only find out they need a different harness to even make it run. :bang:

If you are really intereted in swapping a V8, try and buy a write-off Mustang GT of your choice and transpant the entire driveline and wiring harness, computer etc. in your car.

As for the V6, I believe it is basically the same engine from 94-98, although I am not sure how the switch to OBDII in 1996 would affect your engine block, if at all.

Best thing to do is get some legit Ford service manuals for the Mustang and just try and compare the engines.

just get a Mustang with a V8 in it cause in the long run it'll be cheaper and better performing
