Yea thats true. Ive never been more confused in my life than I am now. One day I am selling it and the next I want to keep it and put it in storage. I want to sell it because I dont have the money to deal with the problems that it has right now but I also DONT want to sell it because If I get rid of it I wont be able to afford to do the things that I had done to it all over again. Im confused. I need to make a decision but my thing it I just dont want to make the wrong one, ya know?

Understood, Dad put alot of work into his 86 and had to sell it to buy a house and STILL misses it, ran 12s ons treet tires, gorgeous car.

Heres a pic. I know what u mean, it is alot of money and work to jus throw away so to speak. Your best bet might be to hang on to it, who knows.

Off the subject but... do you have that cars picture posted anywhere else because I used to have a car just like that on my backround and I was just wondering if it was the same... and did your dad sell that car on ebay because I think thats where i got the picture from?

No, not on eBay, in town. 1500 Dollars just like that but with grey interior. ran 12s, My uncle got a deal. He sold it to my uncle for 1500 dollars is what i meant. I have posted the pic a few times.
My dad got it stock grey with a black hood decal and rotted to heck with a ton of fade and crap and a blown rearend and a set of 10 hole LX wheels. Dad chenged it all and made it run 12s. jus small bolt ons, alot of them that added up.

I would love to do that but if I had the money to fix it I wouldnt be selling it... ya know what I mean? Im just in over my head with money and I just need to get rid of it as is. I was thinking about taking it over to Maco and get some maco paint on it just to make it look a little bit better but I really dont even have 300 dollars to do that... basically im broke as a joke and I have 2 cars I can barely pay for.
what is Maco?

Maco is a place that will paint your car for like 250-300 dollars. No stripping involved. Its basically just a really ghetto paint job. Thats why they are so cheap.

By the way.... I think that I found a solution to my car problems. I was just at my friends helping him drop a 540 in his Chevelle and he has a backyard thats almost 70 yards long and he told me that I could store my car back there. No charge (thank God!). So if I dont get an offer I think that I might be able to pull this off. Think its a good idea to keep it?

hey man, sorry to hear about your problem. had the same deal when i got laid off from capital one two years ago. had to sell my 86 convertible i had since highschool. it stinks but you gotta do what you have to do. the one good thing is there are always mustangs for sale. id say store it in you friends lot if you can afford it. and work on the little things a bit at a time as money allows. but if you get an offer for what you want. and you are still in financial need. id say sell it. hope everything works out. its never fun to be in a hole like that

Yes it is my first stang and it has a WHOLE lot of sentimental value to me. Thats why im so confused to sell it or not. And like conv stang said, I think that I am going to store it at my friends house but if someone does give up an offer I dont think that I will really have a choice but to get rid of it. I see other mustangs in autotrader and things like that but they just arent "my car" you know. And ford racing 200, give me a couple days and I will let you know if I want to get rid of it. I know I should be jumping at this offer but Im just not certain on what I want to do yet. Thanks for the support guys.

Yea, it snows alot here in NJ. We prob. get the same amount of snow as you guys do. And about the body, it just some little dings, and the front driver side fender needs to be replaced. It was a aftermarket one and it just didnt fit right. It sits like 1/4 below the hood and it looks like someone took a sander and started to sand it but stopped. Its only noticable when you look at it in the sun. And also the hood has a small chip (nothing that cant be fixed with fiberglass filler), and the headlight is cracked at the top. You cant see it when the hoods closed but when u open it its cracked and it gets foggy.
And you asked why I dont drive it if Im going to store it... I dont drive it first off because Im really **** about the way my cars look ya know... but thats not whats stopping me. Its basically just because the trans isnt shifting right and I dont want to screw anything up anymore than it already is and like I said, also with all the snow its kind of hard to take it out without crashing it and thats the LAST thing that I want to do.

Thats my ultimate dream. A charcoal Fox body, DSS or CHP 306, AFR 185's, and a Stage 2 66mm Hybrid HP Turbo.... I get chills just thinking about it!

twin T-60mm turbos will spool instantly and are like running one 120mm if they made one, but they spool instantly and will make 1500rwhp easily nd maintain drivability. Dad drove his 86 once when he had no truck for the winter because my mom had just crashed it (ater he got done restoring it) and he went on a offroad excursion. We get ALOT of snow, i think it is 300 inches a year, but i will have to check, maybe more.
