Depends on if you're doing all the work yourself. Syncros are cheap but heck, if the trannys gonna be apart, and you can afford it and have the "know how" build yourself a world class t5

Call Hanlon Motorsports and order a complete Rebuild kit and thier do it yourself video....for less than $250 you can rebuild the entire transmission.

I agree. That video is what a friend and I learned from. Excellent video!

My tranny just took a dump on me as well. Just this morning i lost 3rd and 4th gear in my AOD...it wont get out of second. Fortunately, i can get a used T-5 from one of my buddies for $100. Any one know a very descriptive site i can go on that can help me step by step with the swap? You help will be very appeciated! Thanks.

it is a manual transmission. i was wondering how long it would take to actually rebuild a transmission. including the time to take out the tranny and put it back in. if anyone has a rough guess it would be much appreciated. thnx for the help and all the comments. ps i do probably have access to a car lift if i really wanted to use it so keep that in mind.
