To quote Mark Spence from an 1984 Super Ford Magazine article entitled "the dominator!"

"The Dominator is available in three different packages-ranging from
225 horsepower to over 400 horsepower. Dominator package I being slightly
warmed up from stock with a set of tuned Hooker Headers and a ram air set up
adding about 20 horsepower of the stock GT. Dominator II is a little more
for your money with modifications to engine to push horsepower over 300.
For the all out version, Dominator III, you get a balanced and blueprinted,
roller cammed 302."

1987 Dominator found

Hello I am new to this forum but I came across this specific thread
I have located in 1987 Ford mustang dominator it is a rare find I found it in a field in Nevada Missouri. I had never heard of a dominator and I don't know much about them but from what I do know they're pretty rare and unique I have even reached out to Bob site forward which is the new owners of the previous Lee summit Ford to try to get any sort of information and of course none of them knew what I was talking about because it has been decades. I have restored many fox bodies in the past but this one is quite frankly one of a kind. I did a Carfax on the VIN which comes back to the first owner who took very good care of it and even registered as a historical vehicle and then switch hands to someone who did not take very good care of it put a lot of miles on it and they're sat in the field. A very sad situation indeed. I guess I am posting this to see if anybody has any information that would be useful as well as direct me to somebody who maybe keeps a directory of these cars any information would be greatly appreciated thank you

Thank you! I find it such a shame someone could let history waste away in a field. It should be a crime! 😁

I'm Sorry That Vin Aould Not Pull Anything From FORD Database. Ford Was Always Behind The Curve on Computerization of Their Systems. Hell They Still Have a DOS Based System in Place For Certain Parts Ordering Functions!

I' Tried!

Thanks anyways! Since this was a modification after the assembly line, then would Ford even have this information? I reached out to Bob Sight Ford, (but not getting my hopes up), because they have all this information locked away somewhere. There's a lot of people out there that want to know more as well!!!

I Was Looking For Any Odd Deletions, Additions or Unusual Features You Might Not Have Seen on a Garden Variety Mustang GT. Were These Cars Spec'ed Odd Due To Fact They Were Gonna Be Modified After Delivery or Did They Just Use Any GT They Could get Their Hands On. That Was The Side of The Information Equation I Was Hoping To Find. The More You Know The Better I Would Surmise!

Gotta Be Some Vintage Magazine Articles Out There As Well Which Would Be Great To Have. The Later 87-91 Cars Should Likely Follow a Familer Format.

I Would Thing That Private Facebook Page is A Must For You To Join as That is Hopefully a Treasure Trove of Information on The Dominator Models!
