Pony dont back up
I just recenty aquired a 93' lx. My question is, the tranny is going out in this pony, that i know, but what would cause the car to shift gears, but not stop in reverse or neutral? Everytime i try to shift into reverse it doesnt lock.
Also, even with the ebrake up and the car in park, if i step on the gas, it starts to go, should i just get a brand new tranny?
Any help would be wonderfull
Thanks

First of all, welcome to the forum.
I am guessing you have an automatic transmission? If so, it sounds like the shifter just isnt locking itself into place for the top 3 gear selections (P R N)? Am I understanding that correctly?
