Let me put it this way...
Wet pavement + left turn + power 1-2 shift on a RWD car by an unexperienced teenager=
Instead of slamming the brakes I kept the gas pinned and the car made a 360, when i tried to "correct" steer, with throttle still pinned, BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM! the wall was all i saw.
The front end moved to the right more than a foot since i hit it on the left corner. you could see the left tire! But the thing started again, leaking coolant and all, but It bought me home.
A friend of mine told me that it would cost me $600 to fix it sans parts, which i had on a parts car I got for free. When I finally had the cash, my doggy needed an operation, so the car was out,.I sold it for $150 to an old guy, and the parts car for $75.

I think I have pics somewhere. If I find them I'll ask a friend of mine to scan them to show the wreckage, so the kids see what happens when Mom and Dad tell you to drive slowly and you don't pay attention to their wise words.

Update..
New windshield, Wheels and Tires from our storage, cleaned polished and all the trim done. We kept the original wheel covers of course but it just amazes me how the wheels make the car look.. Now he needs a job and his grades are heading up so maybe its working, the motivation part that is!

looks good, it is amazing what respraying the black accents will do to the overall look of a mustang. the ten holes look better but pony's would look bad ***. making him work for it is an awesome reward that will make him enjoy it even more. just my .02

looks really clean... probably not a bad idea with the 4 cyl... Speaking from experience, its never good having a 5.0 at a young age. I bought my first Mustang at 17, an '88 5.0....I should have never had that car since I never had anything that powerful.. it was almost a death wish, never mind the insane insurance rates.

Thanks for all the responses and yes I agree with you about the 5.0 as he is not ready I think for that after driving around the other day with him..
