Last Mustang with a carbureter!!!!
My 85. When I picked it up I was told it was one of 20 or 30 built with a 235 hp motor from Ford Motorsport because Ford ran out of the 210 hp GT motors. It also had TRUE dual exhaust...apparently from the 1986 models about to be available.
I rermember racing 8 different 85 Mustang GT's one night at Suffolk Dragway and beat every one of them by at least 2-3 car lengths. None of them ran faster than 14.90 and I was running 14.7X with one 14.6x all night (that's with 2.73 gears)

My '85
I have an '85 GT I bought new. I have played with it over the years. When I rebuilt the engine, I installed a Ford E303 cam & HD valve springs, an Edelbrock Performer intake and carb, true 2.5" dual exhaust (eliminated the single CAT) and 3.55 gears.
Topped it off with an MGW shifter. It's a Bad Boy!
