Soap and water don't cost that much, Just be careful around the electricals . I wash the engine/bay ron my 2013 GT without problems.

Hey, tourer and Glenn, better?

I wore my little fingers out cleaning this thing this morning.

Better, but still not done. Go to the auto section of Wal-Mart and buy a couple of can of spray Silicon, Spray all the rubber and plastic bits, it will look much better.

Now go rub all the silicone off because it'll just attract dirt.

I don't know why people do this, it's just... messed up.

It looks fine. It's a 1984, unless you're gonna take it apart and do a proper everything gets touched detailing, you're done. I mean, the firewall and sides need work, they're still dingy. Those shock mounts are definitely needing paint or something. That tensioner... those rubbed out choke modules on the snorkles... The tan wires... that peeled up sticker on the washer fluid box...

Still. Don't. Touch. It. It's fine, the car is what it is. Time to move on to the sale. If a person is that stickler, give them a 50 dollar gift certificate to a carwash detailer and call it done.

Shame you're sellin' it, I'd keep it if I were you... and would that I had the space and moolah, you'd already be sellin' it to me.

I agree with houtex completely

If I'm the car buyer I'm actually looking for it to be clean but normal. I don't want a bunch of slick looking oily stuff on the hoses and wires. I sure don't want to see spray paint on the shock towers. Just soap and water and a rag and show me it's naturally clean and the car has been well kept.

Just my opinion

It is a nice car and should sell the way it is. I always liked the look of the quad headlight foxbodys over the aero look.
