2nd Gear Grinding
 

I was driving my 89 ssp and when I went to shift into 2nd I got a grinding problem didn't start until my stock clutch cable popped of I replaced tranny fluid and took the clutch cable off anyone have any ideas? I was planning to get a adjustable cable and a new clutch kit to go with it.

Tranny might need a possible rebuild...bad syncros maybe

If it is only in second gear and it does it when you shift normal and doesnt do it when you shift slowly then your second gear syncro is going out.
