Console is all back together and we just got back from a victory lap around town. The hood mounted turn signal indicators are way cool. Here are some more photos.

Oh cool. Glad to see I'm not the only one who rips out the old suspension and replaces it with a new modern one. Are you doing the work yourself? What kind of kit did you buy? How much did the kit cost? I finished my front suspension last summer. You can check out my build, I got a ton of pics up... I'm currently installing a heidts 4 link rear suspension, with pan hard bar.

Looking good! You hit the lottery?! Get that differential leak stopped or all the other work will be in vain when it locks up.

Lenor, I'm having this phase of the work done by a hot rod and custom shop. They installed a Mustang II suspension.

Kennyg, thanks! The differential is on the to-do list.

Tuesday, we test fit a wheel and ordered wheels/tires. Sorry, crappy cell phone pic is all I have.

Phase 2, Major Mechanical, is complete!

Engine: rebuilt 347 stroker long block, polished aluminum valve covers, powdercoated intake manifold, water pump, electronic ignition.
Engine had to sit 1-3/4" farther forward, thus modify trans crossmember/mount, extend shifter linkage, modify kickdown linkage, longer driveshaft.
Transmission: rebuild existing C4 transmission, rebuilt torque converter.
Steering: power steering kit, tilt steering column, steering wheel.
Brakes: power front disc brakes, kept the existing rear drum brakes.
Front Suspension: Full Tilt Mustang II kit & sway bar kit.
Rear Suspension: 4.5 leaf springs, underride traction bar kit, replace rear pinion seal & repair yoke seal surface.
Exhaust: ceramic coated existing headers.
Underbody & engine compartment painted black.
