VIN says San Jose, 289. It has the center console, automatic transmission, very minimal rust, frame & body are straight. I'll have to get back to you on the rest... once I build out the to do list. More photos when it's not raining.

That's a straight old car!
You mind telling is what you gave for it?

I would start with the interior....everything on the outside looks pretty great in the pics. Are numbers matching?

I'm a noob. When did number matching become widespread? Plus I don't know where to look for numbers.

As long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

numbers matching only matters on something rare ... you have one of a zillion cars .. make it something you want ...

This is my high-level plan:
1. Pass inspection & get tags - asap
2. Get it driving right - this season
3. Interior - next season
4. Exterior - season 3
5. Accessories - season 4

To Do List #1 - Pass Inspection:
  • Replace missing parking brake
  • Replace rear brake drums
  • Replace front brake shoes, resurface drums
  • Replace 3 damaged brake hoses
  • Replace upper ball joints
  • Replace front wheel bearings
  • Replace unevenly worn front tires
  • Alignment
  • Diagnose & fix non-functional horn
  • Diagnose & fix dim headlight
  • Replace bulbs in 1 turn signal & 1 reverse light
  • Replace missing rear side markers & trim
  • Replace bungee cord holding the battery down
  • Service automatic transmission
  • Replace improvised "fittings" between mufflers & tail pipes
  • Replace windshield wiper blades
  • Replace windshield washer fluid reservoir, get windshield washer working
I have my fingers crossed this will all be complete & I'll have tags on the car by Labor Day weekend.
