I've had my 65 GT with a 306 for four years now in El Paso and it has always stayed at 180 degrees. It has a 4 new core copper radiator, flexalite 18" fan with a shroud.

Recently I added a Vintage Air A/C & Heat system. It works great, but in 100 degree weather the temp gage starts to climb up to 220 degrees in traffic. That's when the A/C goes off and it's roasting time. I would like to enjoy my new A/C under all conditions.

Do you think an electric fan would do better or should I go with a 2 core aluminum radiator? Or both?...$$$

Any one else have huge cooling demands like A/C in traffic in El Paso? What do you have?

Any help would be appreciated

I'm in WA but have an aluminum radiator and a Spal Electric fan. It is an on demand fan as in when you need it, it turns on.
