Not rare, but very special to me: 67 GTA A-code fastback.

ford4v429 Feb 19, 2014 06:48 PM

my 69's sat engineless for 29 yrs straight- does that make it rare? :)

finally started on it last July, hoping to have it rolling at least by fall

Mines a little harder to find....it's a 68 S code, 4 speed, 9" rear, power all, a/c car. Unfortunately, everything that made it special was gone when I got it 😞

Doesn't really matter now. It's pretty rare to see a 68 fastback anyways. One of my favorite mustangs of all times. The 69 is pure greatness but I would take the 68 FB over it any day. Not exactly sure why. That's a really good looking car you have man. :nice:

I really don't call a certain year with specific options rare anyways. Back then you could get them built to order but in the end, just like yours, it's a 68 fastback. Not sure how many mustangs you could actually call truly rare models just because of factory options.

What a beauty. I can't wait until mine looks that good.

67Pony Mar 20, 2014 07:01 AM

6 cyl '68 coupe, has sprint package!

67Pony Mar 20, 2014 07:03 AM

edit: simply not sure how many surviving sixes there are, weren't most changed over to a 289 or higher?

matcox83 Mar 20, 2014 01:41 PM

I hear you. I think mine is rare because I have a modified 6 cylinder!

You're looking at the only 2013 GT500 vert built with this color combination & options. That makes it pretty rare?

Attachment 154850
Attachment 154848
Attachment 154849

Also, it's the SVT 20th Anniversary Cobra.
The first year of 662bhp.
The last year of Performance White.
So it's the only year with both PW & 662bhp.
