Carb question

Here is my question I am upgrading my 1966 mustangs 289 to be a bit more fun. So far I have don't the following to it. Removed the points out in a Petronix electronic ignition and blaster 2 coil freshly rebuild heads and just put on an edelbrock performer intake. So with that would a 600 Cfm with vacuum secondaries be to much for it to handle?

it would love a 600 holley or an edlebrock .. i actually ran a 750 on my 289 .. you know it`s only 600 at wide open throttle ..
