1964 1/2 mustang?

I purchased a 1965 mustang last year that I was going to restore. I was looking up some information about the difference between the 64 1/2 and the 65. It looks like I may have a 64 1/2. I found something online that that gave some of the parts to look at such as the fuel cap comes off in your hand (untethered), interior carpet ends at rocker panels, rubber hood pads have recessed Phillip screws attaching them. My mustang has all of these features. Does anybody know any thing else to denote the difference? I am asking because I may have sell the mustang instead of restoring it unfortunately.

The 64.5 has a generator...I believe in 65 they had alternators.

You can tell if it is a true 64.5 because the front radiator support has louvers to help keep the generator cool.
Many have had the gen. swapped for an alternator but the louvers in the radiator support is the best way to tell for sure.

Tell us the VIN (vehicle identification number) but don't show the last 3 digits to protect from identity theft! Also see if there is a warranty plate on the driver's door by the latch with 2 rows of #s and share that info.

no need to be sorry about being a girl.... we don't mind one bit.. Would you please post a few pictures of your car. The radiator support is right behind the grill. It holds the raditor in and the fenders bolt to it as well.

I hope this helps

It's ok.

My mother was a girl. Most of the women I know used to be girls.
