Richard Petty’s ‘King Edition’ Mustangs Ready for Debut

Remember those Richard Petty Mustangs in the works that we heard about earlier this year? Well, we’ve gotten some more specific details on the cars, including pricing.

The custom S550s, which we first covered here, will be available in three different offerings including 243 King models, 43 King Premier models, and 14 King Premier convertibles. Equipped to get even more performance out of the Mustang, each of the models will come with a supercharger that adds another 235 horsepower to the stock 5.0-liter V8 for a total output of a 670 horses.

Power fanatics can also opt for a supercharger upgrade that ups the total output to 727 horsepower!

Other performance upgrades include a custom engine calibration, a cold-air intake, a MagnaFlow exhaust, extreme-duty TrakPak Ford Performance halfshafts, three-way adjustable front and rear sway bars, and a rear axle upgrade.

The King Edition Mustangs sit on custom matte-black Petty’s Garage/HRE staggered 20 x 9-inch front wheels and 20 x 10-inch rear wheels with standard Continental Extreme Performance summer tires.

The King Premier edition features unique HRE/Petty’s Garage wheels, a big brake upgrade kit that includes six-piston front brakes and four-piston rears over two-piece rotors, and custom leather trimmed interior.
