Blake's freshly restored 1966
Fastback is Black with Black Pearl Flames. Riding on 14" American
Racing Torq Thrust D wheels with BFG Comp T/A tires, the car is
powered by a 289 with 302 heads, Edelbrock 600 cfm Carb on a Performer
RPM manifold linked to a C4 auto. As if the exhaust note isn't enough,
sound is provided via an AM/FM Cassette Stereo with 6 disc CD changer,
4 speakers and an 8" subwoofer in the trunk.
Since he bought the car on
March 19, 1996, he's rebuilt, replaced, or restored the following:
-
Suspension with bigger sway
bar and polyurethane bushings
-
Added Granada disc brakes
-
Steering
-
Scraped, grinded, restored,
and coated with POR-15, all the structural
metal including the floors and frame rails
-
Changed the interior from red
to black with custom gauge lighting and
faces that he designed himself, and aftermarket racing seats
-
He did the body work and prepping for the paint job
himself
The exterior pics were taken at
the Texas Motor Speedway Laps for Charity event on August 14, 2004. |
