that car is likely from the press fleet, anyone that is seriously interested should have it checked out. those cars get beat on big time. i'm not convinced that having the mp designation means they are pre-production. they did that mp on some cars simply for the press fleet so they didn't take sequential retail cars.
I know for a fact that the boss my local press fleet had was built and shipped after production started. i had my car for about four months before that one entered the press fleet. press cars were hard to get thanks to all the parts shortages that delayed production so much and only the large fleets in California and Detroit had them for a while because the parts were hard to come by and were being put to customer cars. that was told to me by the pr fleet manager in my area. that one could well be a pre-production, all i am saying is don't assume it is due to the MP designation.

This car, assuming it was built anywhere near the build date on the window sticker, was built on Dec. 6, 2010. There are 44 cars with the same 'build date'. The window sticker in my possession was downloaded on Jan. 20th, 2011, almost a month before regular production was to start. This isn't a guarantee of when the car was built though.

My guess is that "MP" represents "manufacturing prototype". I also believe that Ford used this number designation, based on their learning experience from the last Bullitts ('08-'09). Those cars had a 1PP (pilot production) designation in their sequential number plates. Those cars are carefully gone over and serviced after their "beatings", according to the engineers to whom I've talked. They don't want to leave stuff not working and have that make it into print.
In fact, the Bullitts that was used in both the '01 and '08 versions of the San Francisco hill jump photos both were bought by consumers and in full working order, even to this date.

lol, i guess it depends on what area the car is in and who had it before. the MP boss press car i had was clean other than dead tires, but the GT500 was beat up pretty bad.

The sequence of numbers I have seen on the Bosses is:
VP#### (Verification Prototype) - these were on the 2010/2011 mules.

Wow. That car is located about a half hour east of me. I see it was in the corporate fleet for about a year. I also see Carfax saying its worth $10 more than book value, but the dealer's own KBB doesn't have a listing for this specific vehicle.
You guys got a good feel for an LS price with this kind of mileage (regardless of its numerical rarity, as I'm sure the dealer will be all over that)?
