TMS 2015 Reveal Pre-Coverage

Good afternoon everyone.

There's a lot of buzz going around right now in regards to tomorrow mornings reveal.

Here's what we are planning for the event.

Two of our staff members will be at the Dearborn event, providing us with up to the minute post via a thread we will create later this evening. This will be a live blog style post, and the cool thing will be that they can provide pretty accurate information in near real time to your questions.

Boomer and Overboost will be covering this event and be providing the information. I may also be posting information that is sent to me directly as well, even though I will be monitoring from remote.

What I would like is for the time being, if you have any request of things you would like to see and know, go ahead and post here so that way we can try to get a list going of what to cover.

Hope everyone is excited as we are for this!

Roughly 13 hours to go...let's hear it guys! We'll do our best to answer any questions you have, or try to grab pictures of things you want to see.

Would like to see some photos of the IRS and how well the tires fit in the rear wheel wells with the new suspension.

Also, will they still use a 2 piece driveshaft?

Is there going to be a Shelby or SVT Cobra model coming as well for 2016, which should be on sale in the 2015 year? And is there going to be a 5.8 engine available and a independent rear suspension.
I'm just glad we get to see what it finally looks like. And I hope we're not disappointed.

I'd like to see an undercar pic posted if possible. Like they did at last year's auto shows.

Thanx Boomer and Overboost for the live coverage!

And thanx Scott for making arrangements!

1) what do you suppose this is (pic attached), rear brake duct?
2) list exterior body color options.
3) will the rumored first 1000x 2014.5 models be different from the 2015s, if so how?
4) i read some where front fenders are now aluminum; confirm if that is correct and what other weight saving parts are incorporated into the vehicle.

Future Variants...

Would like to know about some of the body/trim details and features that will define and differentiate the looks of what we are seeing at the moment. Thank you in advance...

PS... and future expectations of the powerplants...and lap time around Laguna for the base GT. :-)

I believe what you are seeing is the rubber deflector (whatever ?) like we have on the 11 to 14 models and which is located at the end of each rocker panel .

Comments from Ford engineers on the differences between the S550 and the S197 (other than the obvious IRS v SRA).

Comments about handling on the test track with each engine package.

0-60 and 1/4 mi times from the test track with each engine package.

I'm most curious about the interior of the car, particularly how the new model compares to the latest generation in terms of visibility. That's my pet peeve about modern cars. It doesn't do much good to have a striking exterior if you can't see out of the **** thing.
