Bumper plugs

Ugly holes in stock front bumper left by removing the license plate bracket - solution! Bumper plugs in factory color, www.bumperplugs.com , $33 after tax & shipping. Sorry for the bad picture quality - iPhone. If a previous thread exists, my apologies, just trying to help everyone!

That is nice. Another method is the one I used on my 2011 'vert - hit a deer, ruin your bumper, then tell body shop not to drill the new bumper & get a Craig's bracket instead. Then when u get a 2012, tell the dealer not 2 drill in the new bumper, & use the Craig's bracket you kept from the previous car! Simple!

Funny, Eric. Ya know, it bothers me so much that they would simply drill into a plastic bumper without at least giving the customer an option. It looks okay now, though.

I have to do something like this with my "new" 2010. It's simply going to be using plastic push pin fasteners painted to match, or those domed snap covers that go over license plate screws. Price WAY less than $33!

----------------
I saw two examples last weekend at Cars & Coffee:
1) hardware store push pins, with touch up paint.
2) $33 bumper plugs with factory-matched paint.
No comparison.

You can buy factory matched paint in a 16 oz aerosol can for like 15.00

I'm just trying to help others...I've seen the cheaper solutions...and they look just that...cheap. You go with what you think is best. I know I did.

I just told my dealer, DO NOT drill holes for the plate or I will not be purchasing the car when it comes in. LOL

Looks great, I have had these on past cars and they look way better than people that try and spray their own paint on push pins. Well worth the 30 or so bucks. I want some for my new boss as the **** dealer drilled front. But bumper plugs dont have CO paint code!

My thoughts exactly LaserSnake - I've seen the home-made jobs, and that look was not for me. So, you've been to their website (www.bumperplugs.com), and they don't have your color?

I used the color matched paint from Autozone on some plugs on our '03 metallic grey thunderbird and they looked great. The duplicolor paint had the correct amount of flake and I spent $8 total. Didn't look cheap at all, nor did it look huge like those caps.

Yep, even emailed back and forth a few times. They said they could do them, but since they considered it a one time "custom" color it would be like 140 bucks. I am leaving the front plate for now lol

I ordered mine a few weeks ago, in Red Candy Metallic (U6) from Bumper Plugs, at $24.95. I put them in this week, and they are a perfect match, which surprised me. They look really nice with Craigs' Custom Bracket, especially when the plate is off
