2010+ painted valance bumper

Has anyone seen a mustang with a painted valance and side skirts on a 2010+ mustang? Personally I don't like the black plastic look and think it would match better if it was painted.
If anyone has pictures please post!

Check my garage. Car has a body kit but you can get the general idea.

I don't know if you want front or rear valence, but I've got them both, and the side skirts, and the grill surround. I'm not a fan of flat black plastic, either.

Randy, that looks really good - did you paint yourself or have a shop do it? Curious how much it cost.

Very nice! Definitely looks more retro when painted.

Wow, that looks awesome. What do you think it would cost at a solid body shop to have this done? Im driving a Kona car so I want the paint to be perfect...

That's why I've been holding off on doing mine. I've heard it's hard to get the Kona to match. I've ordered some pre-painted parts and ended up sending them back because they were too blue or purple. A good body shop should be able to get it done though. My buddy got his Sterling gray done and it's perfect. If I do it I would use his guy.

That looks INCREDIBLE! Oh man.. I love SG, and that looks fantastic all done. Honestly, not a fan of the body color lowers on the Kona, but yours look killer.

The only color that matches every time is straight black (metallics and off-shades excluded). Any other color has variation. In a gallon of paint made to a paint code, a 1/4 ounce too much of one component can take on a different look. Expecting paint to match that was sprayed away from the car isn't realistic, but an experienced painter can adjust and tint to get as close as possible if they have the car present. This is why body shops do blend panels when they do a repair; even if only your right front fender was repaired, they may spray the passenger door and hood as well, misting the color away from the new panel, blending it into the previous paint, then clear over the whole panel. The paint may not be exact, but it's a much more gradual change, so it's harder to notice to the untrained eye.
