*PICS* Installing Roush CAI

Directions to install your Roush CAI on V6 6-Speed.

**First-Loosen clamps and un-lock stock air box

Release Mass Air Flow Sensor by pulling red tab back

Now transfer the sensor to the new intake tube.

Now install the grommet and new plug (6-speed uses plug) to the Intake tube.

***THIS IS WHERE IT GETS TRICKY***

I installed the new air box first and had a tough time getting the tube in doing it that way...So I took it off and installed the Intake tube FIRST!!
Then tightened down the air box.

You'll notice the two silver screws. Make sure they're tight, or you'll get some rattle.

Almost Done!!

Attach the new Filter. Make sure it's snug all the way around the tube.

Install the weather band.

!!!*** WOOOOO Done! Look, Mom and Dad came to hear the beast roar!

Thanks for stopping by!
Let me know what my next couple mods should be. I'm thinking Flowmaster Axle Back.

Did you have any issues installing the grommet in the intake tube? I couldn't get mine to fit along with the aluminum fitting.. I did eventually but tore the rubber grommet a little bit

I had the Airaid CAI (and I think you posted on my thread), and the rubber grommet with the metal rod was probably the most annoying part of the build... It was a b**** to get in. I ended up using a piece of wood as an anchor to pull back on against my body to get the rubber in with the rod...The rod fits without rubber, the rubber fits without rod, but try to do it all at once like you need to and you spend half an hour getting it in! at least it's over and fits well

The rubber stayed for me on the Roush air box. But it does fit without the rubber too.... Take a pic when you guys are done, let's see how they look

I did. I told Airaid about it Wednesday, they replied Thursday, and had it shipped overnight so it came Friday, but I wasn't home so I picked up and installed Saturday.

That's why I posted about how happy I was with their customer service, they're really great
