Question Thought I would have another look at the Razors

Since the weather is getting colder and I have lowered the car ,I thought I would put the chrome razors on to see how they looked now.Thought I would have another look at the Razors-100_4105_edited.jpg

I usually like chrome with red, but with all the black plastic on the 2010s, it doesn't look as smooth. I'd either paint the black pieces red, or go with black wheels.

Not really partial to black wheels ,maybe a combo of black and machined spokes and lip.

I love the mods you have done so far with the side splitters, rear diffuser and tailight blackouts! I think the wheels look better than stock but machined/black wheels would go better with the theme you have going though IMO. But then again you know what they say about opinions

Thanks for the comments ,I'm still undecided about the wheels . I think the razors have to go but I would rather replace them with a 19"rim because you can put more sidewall on them for a better ride. However , the aftermarket does not offer much selection in that size at present . I also like the Roush Billet grille ,but want to retain fog lights of some sort. To that end I am looking at the CDC chin spoiler which is supposed to have a fog light kit coming in the future. I am going to go to their shop today after I drop of the wife and her girlfriend at Detroit Metro Airport ,to have a closer look at their prototype. Other plans include having Roush install a short shifter for me and investigating a cold air intake and a tuner. The problem with being retired is that you have lots of time to dream and plan and not enough money to do everything you want, when you want.

I think the Razors would look good...powdercoated all black. Satin or glossy either way. If I end up with a 2011, I plan to order it in black, when it's delivered have it painted pearl white (so the engine bay is black) and have all the lower flat black painted glossy black. Then I'm getting Razors, having the lips painted glossy black and centers painted the same pearl white. I'm not sure which fascia I'm going to go with; I like the Steeda Q front but don't know how it would look with Razors. I know I will like the Saleen/CDC chin, but I want to see the new S281 because I might just save and get that. Ugh!! So many choices!

Sorry I got off topic, but I like the Razors on your car. Just in black...my $0.02

Question

Sort of leaning toward doing the spokes gunmetal . Easiest would be to sell them and start afresh.

I came real close to getting the chrome Razors. It was my son that told me to go Gunmetal.

From the front or side-profile, there's no more black plastic, IMO, than a 2005-09 V6 or GT500. You can't see the wheels at all from the rear which is where most all the black plastic resides on the new cars. So, to me, that's a non-issue.

The chrome Razors look great, IMO.

Those are Falken 452's 255/35/20 tires. Here is a picture of my 05 and the Falken Girl at the 08 Mustang Alley.

Thought I would have another look at the Razors-100_4200_edited.jpgWell I finally got new wheels and I was really surprised with my final choice ! Black spoked GS 56 staggered rims ,Toyo Proxes 4 tires: 255x35 fronts and 295x30 rears. Have a look . This is pretty much it for appearance mods.
