First Mustang EVER

I've just purchased my first Mustang ever!! (In fact, it's my first FORD ever!)

I've always liked Mustangs ever since my buddy in University had a 5.0L LX. I remember hitting the Ford dealerships and looking at the new 'Stangs, dreaming "one day, one day."

But when I got older and finally could afford a new car, fuel efficiency won out and went a Honda Civic Si. Later I went Acura CL Type S and BMW 325i. Unfortunately my dreams of a new Mustang drifted away like an old forgotten girlfriend.

But got the urge to buy a new car recently and it happened to coincide with the return of the 5.0L V8. I've read every review and every post I could find, and I just don't see how I could go wrong with a 2011 Mustang GT. Especially with a class-leading fuel efficient engine!

Did the deed and picked her up last week. I'm as proud as can be, showing it off to everybody I can find.
There's not a thing about this car I don't love. The color... the upgraded brakes and wheels... the Navi with Sync... the drop top... the seats... I could go on and on.

Just wanted to drop you guys a line and say a big THANKS for all your posts.
Here's my first couple pics!

Normally removing the front plate is my first mod!
But that's on a Civic and Acura... couple buddies said that if I do it on a new 5.0L mustang, I'm just asking for a cop to pull me over

Heck, just having a Mustang GT is asking to get pulled over...

Thanks! Dams Ford Lincoln in Surrey. Surprisingly not a lot of choices in the Vancouver lower mainland for instock GT convertibles. Essentially each dealer had ONE. This one had almost the exact car I wanted!
(At first I was torn between this one and a Red Candy Coated California Special automatic, but i went with Sterling Grey manual with Brembos instead... the hood scoop clinched the deal!)

Yup got the current employee pricing promo!

Looks Great!

Similar to my order, I hope to get it soon. Does it have the pedestal spoiler? Just asking because usually the hood scoop comes with that spoiler as part of the GT Accessory Package?

GREAT-looking car! As a fellow Mustang first-timer, it's gratifying to see that someone else picked a 'vert too.

Welcome to the club. Great looking car. If you're going to pick a time to get a mustang, you could not possibly pick a better time. The 2011 is by far the best group of mustangs (v5, gt & gt500) ever produced. ENJOY!

Great Pictures!

Ford could use the first one in their print literature.
