Just installed Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD

I have a good friend that out himself through college doing car audio, so installation for him was a snap. I got the Metra Double Din install kit (95-5812), the PAC C2R-FRD1 wiring harness, the Absolute RLS125 12-VCD Automotive Relay SPDT 30/40A, and the 12 VDC 5-PIN RELAY SOCKET. The last two items work together to bypass the parking brake interlock.

Sound quality is AWESOME, using my OEM amp and upgraded Ford audiophile speakers. I have a 4GB SD card loaded up with music, plus the USB cord running through my console for iPod or flash drive access.

I got the head unit from SearsDirect.com going through E&B Electronics in New Jersey for a KILLER $379 plus shipping. The wiring harness and install kit + relays cost another $100.

why do you need that relay and 5-pin socket to bypass the parking break lockout? did pioneer recently change something? as far as I know in past years all you had to do was move one of the pins in the headunit's connector and ground the praking break wire.

I have no idea why, I watched this video and did what it explained.

Glenn,
It has a NAV expandable module I can get if I choose to. I use my iPad for navigation right now, so I didn't see a need for it.

I have the same setup, and I love it!

@karch14...to get the subs to work, you need to connect the RCA inputs that say 'SUB' on the CR2-FRD1 harness to the sub outputs of the head unit, and connect the blue/white wire from the Pioneer harness to the blue/white wire from the CR2 harness that you'd otherwise use for power antenna (also used for the power turn-on for the 12V relay used to bypass the parking brake lockout). Finally, you need to go into the stereo's setup and turn on the subs, configure the crossovers and levels, and you should be good to go!
