Trustworthy Auto Transport
Hi all,
Im looking to buy a Mustang in Louisville and have it shipped to Connecticut.
Can anyone recommend a reputable, reasonable shipper? Is it OK to ship it open or should I go closed?
Thanks
Chris

I just had My Boss shipped from Florida to Michigan. I would definately recommend closed, as I did and it was good for piece of mind. No worries about weather, truck lots, giant bugs, Bird bombs, and most importantly, road debris. My uncle had a nice ding in his sunroof of his 911 from a rock that somehow went over the truck's wind deflector. Big pain. Hold on one, I will recommend my auto shipper in the next post. Here's some pics of the truck that picked up my car. Okay, nevermind, the attachment keeps crashing my phone

Plycon auto carriers ... They are based out of Long Island and ship car all over the country.TI know they used to ship cars for Unique Auto Sports and they usually ship high end cars cross country.
Their parent company Plycon is probably one of my families biggest competitor in the white glove delivery industry and they do a great job and are extremely careful with everything they do. if I had to I would recommend them or Horseless Carriage which is based out of NJ.

Auto Ship Transport was the broker that I contacted. Basically, they put you up on a board with the quote and when it is accepted by a driver they contact you and set up a pickup and drop off time. My driver was very good at communicating and even though he had a hangup and couldn't pick up my car on the day we agreed, he delivered it two days early. I was a very happy customer.

Hi there,
There are hundreds of companies out there, so it is up to you to choose. Check them online, verify insurance and active licenses.
Also, read reviews. Reviews of car moving companies will give you the idea of how the transporter operates.
I will recommend my company of course, Montway Auto Transport, but you check for yourself.
Do a search on Google and will find a lot of info.
Enclosed is definitely one of the best options, but open car transport is just as good. don't forget that 90% of the new cars are shipped to dealers on open car carriers.
Good luck

Wow!! Where are the moderators??
These last two posts by fake Mustang people (one post each) could be very costly for 'newbies'. I'm surprised this is allowed.

Try All America Auto Transport - http://www.aaat.com/ . You can go for an enclosed as their quotes are very reasonable.

Auto Transport City is my trusted car transporter. If you haven't tried them yet then go for it now.
