Brute horsepower is awe-inspiring. We’re not talking 600, 700 or even 800 hp; we’re talking 1,500+ hp at the tires. That kind of power is enough to make any gearhead weak in his/her knees.

I’d never seen someone jump a Fox-body until I saw this insane video of Vaughn Gitten Jr. rallying, jumping and sliding his Fox-body drift Mustang in a rock quarry located on the back of his property. There’s no way around it, Gitten is as crazy as he is talented, and here’s proof!

We’ve all got our top-10 favorite Mustangs, but what about famous car collectors like Jay Leno? Ever wondered what someone with deep pockets thinks is the bee’s knees in the form of Mustangs?

It has “epic,” written all over it: Steve Miller Band is playing in the background and there’s a running Mustang (horse) and the new-for-1979 Ford Mustang rolling down the road. The commercial uses such catchphrases as; “dramatic sports-car styling”, “one of the most efficient aerodynamic designs of any car now built in America”, and “feel it slice through the wind.” Wow.

SVO wanted to sell this Mustang in 1989 for $30,000, and make it fast enough to outrun the upcoming $60,000 Corvette ZR-1.

There’s no such thing as boring battles when it comes to street racing. Generally, those who tend to compete feel they’ve got enough goods under the hood to put on a show. The latest race we’ve stumbled on is a showdown between a 900-horsepower turbo Fox-body Saleen Mustang and The Racing Channel’s own 850-horsepower 2JC Nissan 240SX.
