Hey, we guess there is no road is too wild for the Mustang with reports that India could be one of the countries next in line for the Ford pony car.

According to The Economic Times, despite the country’s poor infrastructure for cars, Ford’s plans to make a right-hand drive version of the new 2015 model could prompt the carmaker to sale the car in India.

Raj Nair, Ford’s global chief of product development, wouldn’t confirm that India has been locked in as a market, but he did say selling the Mustang there makes sense.

“The right-hand version will enable us to provide the Mustang to a lot of new markets. India sure is a right-hand market,” Nair is quoted as saying in The Economics Times report. “We have a lot of fans of the Mustang in India.”

If Ford does decide to sell the Mustang in India they certainly wouldn’t be alone. Premium brands like Porsche, Ferrari and Maserati have also been vying for road space in the South Asian country, notes the business report.
