2010 Shelby GT500 Isn’t the Typical Barn Find

Here’s a rare barn find of a different kind.

Make that extremely different, given that the idea of a “barn find” is typically applied to cars much older than a 2010 Ford Shelby GT500. But rest assured, this Mustang definitely fits the bill.

According to Motor Authority, the Shelby was shipped directly from the dealership by the owner to a barn in a rural town in Minnesota, where it has been stored for the past six years. After the owner died, the Mustang was recently posted for sale on eBay with only had 21 miles on the odometer.

Unfortunately, the GT500 never had time to earn the degree of rarity that the original owner had hoped for. So it only sold for $40,200 when it crossed the bidding block. That’s quite a steal compared to the roughly $50,000 or more the original owner probably paid for the Mustang new.
