World’s First 11-Second EcoBoost-Powered 2015 Mustang
There you have it, folks, the world’s first 11-second EcoBoost Mustang!
On a cool fall day in Milan, Michigan, Livernois Motorsports made history by running an 11.830 @ 115.34 mph and then went ahead and backed it up with another 11.8X pass in their 2015 EcoBoost-powered S550. Since its introduction, the Mustang world wondered how the 2.3-turbo would respond to mods … and the little four-banger certainly didn’t disappoint.
Eleven-second ETs are impressive, but what’s perhaps even better is how few mods it took to get there. According to Livernois, the car had big and little Weld/SVE drag wheels, sticky tires, a Mycalibrator tuning device, and both the stock passenger seat and cat-back were removed–that’s it.
