Our friends at “AutoWeek” have gotten their hands on a spy shot of the 2015 Ford Mustang on the road, which – well, still has a few of us puzzled.

In a very odd looking spin on the typical camouflage covering we’re accustomed to seeing on top-secret test vehicles, the photo of what appears to be the new Mustang looks like Ford might be experimenting with some high-tech roof device to help power the muscle car using sunlight.

Okay, maybe we’ve been watching too much TV considering how crazy the idea seems for a high-performance icon like the Mustang – at least for now. But the protruding roof definitely has us curious about why the car is suddenly sporting a high-top fade.

However, what does seem to be clear, as “AutoWeek” indicates, is that the spy shot that shows the 2015 Mustang riding on five-spoke wheels,  will have similar proportions to the current model. Earlier photos published this by AutoWeek also reveal that the car’s front fascia could look at lot like the Evos concept or new Ford Fusion (depending on your view) as a lot of people have suspected.
