Vintage Shelby Mustang GT350 Fetches Big Money at RM
If you’re a fan of the cars born out of the Shelby and Hertz collaborations, then you missed a good one.
This 1966 Shelby GT350H, which went up for auction this week, is equipped with a 572 horsepower a 295 cubic-inch V-8 and has competed in SCRA, HSR, SCCA, and SAAC events. It’s also mated to a four-speed, fully race-prepped Jericho transmission with a billet Super Hurst shifter and sits on Cobra Automotive front and rear competition suspension with four-wheel disc brakes.
The thrill of owning this beauty, however, didn’t come cheap. The vintage racer, which crossed the blocks at RM Auctions on Sunday, November 15, pulled in a $110,000, on the low end of expectations which had it going anywhere from $100,000 – $150,000. What do you think, did the buyer steal it?
