Turbo LS Fox Body Rides Back Bumper During Massive Wheelie

Here’s a perfect case for why you might need to invest in wheelie bars. This turbo LS Fox Body was out for some test and tune runs, working on its 60-foot times, when it pulled a massive wheelie. It had all four wheels off the ground and stood on its back bumper for a few feet. Sadly, the maneuver took a toll on some suspension components and the car needed to be repaired. A camber/caster plate was the main victim, but that was mended overnight for additional runs the following day.

Powered by a Borg Warner turbo pushing about 10 pounds of boost, this LS 383 beast was finally put to work after being fixed. The second part of the video below shows the launch getting dialed in just right, though it was still only the car’s second visit to the strip. By the way, don’t judge that last run down the strip. Just remember, all they were looking to do was dial in their 60-foot times, so there’s quite a lot left in that trap speed! We can’t wait to see what it can really do when they let it loose.
