Steeda Has Two Big Tips for S550 Owners

If you’ve really got an urge to test your new Mustang’s performance capabilities, then you might want to consider two suggestions from the team at Steeda Autosports.

One, swap out that stock 185 lb/in clutch assist spring for a 35 lb/in S550 Mustang clutch spring assist. Two, invest in some good track time with a professional driver who can really teach you how to get the most out of that new ‘Stang.

Luckily, Steeda has you covered on both fronts.

The performance company’s new 35 lb/in clutch spring provides a much more engaged and direct feel when behind the wheel, unlike the stock S550 spring that’s designed to travel in a circular arc.

And when it comes to those track tips, Steeda will be holding its 15th annual Camp Steeda event May 27, at the legendary Sebring International Raceway. Of course, unless you live in the Florida area, taking advantage of 2016 Camp Steeda could become a little pricey once you factor in travel. Although, the class itself is pretty reasonable at $550 for two days.

On the other hand, Steeda’s 35 lb/in S550 clutch spring is priced at $9.95 for all ’15 and ‘16 Mustangs, which is a steal for any S550 owner, regardless of locale.
