Since the relative demise of Saleen late last year, others have been attempting to fill in the gap that was once held by Ford’s factory tuner. Chief among those is Petty’s Garage, and if that name rings a bell, it’s because it should. Because the man behind this is none other than Richard Petty, one of NASCAR’s greatest drivers.

And guess what, he just sold the first PG Mustang to none other than AC/DC’s Brian Johnson.

The Petty Garage Ford Mustang features a Ford Racing/Roush supercharger that puts the power at a staggering 627 horsepower, which is around 50 percent more than stock. They’ve also included a new cold air intake, an ECU tune, MagnaFlow exhaust, and a custom set of 20-inch wheels by HRE wrapped in Continental tires.

Overall, only 143 Petty Mustangs will be sold and they will come in two stages, with the second stage offering a bit more customization and a big brake kit to help stop the wild Mustang.

While his new ride is certainly ready for it, we have yet to receive word on whether or not Mr. Johnson has taken her down the Highway to Hell yet.
