On January 12, 1923, Carroll Shelby joined this world. On May 10, 2012, he exited at the age of 89, and left behind a bevy of cars that forever marked the automotive industry. This past Sunday, his spirit and the cars he helped create were on display on top of the Petersen Automotive Museum’s parking garage, along with great views, snacks, and good people.

In celebration of his birthday, the Museum hosted a cruise-in for some of the best Shelby cars around. There was even awards for Best-In-Show, People’s Choice, and Most Authentic.
