Reddit’s Reaction to the $40,000 727HP Mustang Is Quite Entertaining
Reddit‘s reaction to the now infamous $40,000 Mustang that spouts 727 HP is about as entertaining as you’d expect, with your normal mix of trolls, know-it-all keyboard warriors, and people who actually know what they are talking about. Of course, the whole discussion started after a car dealer in Ohio offered — you guessed it — a 727 HP Mustang GT for the shockingly low price of $39,995.
Offered by Lebanon Ford, the Mustang’s biggest feature is obviously the power. The second biggest talking point is that it actually does come with a warranty. Although Reddit users went berserk over that last part, due to it being a “parts only” warranty, claiming that labor costs would crush you if something went wrong. As though a room of automotive engineers converged onto one internet forum, all sorts of theoretical weak-points were then bandied about.
But really, can’t we just hear from someone who’s bought one? I want to know what it’s like! For sure it’s a sleeper, and if I owned one I’d just have fun humbling owners of cars with more prestigious pedigrees. With the rather ordinary looking wheels still on there, it’ll catch anyone off-guard.
