Rare Shelby Automobiles to Be Auctioned
Shelby Automobiles is auctioning off some of the rarest wheels in the astounding collection amassed over the years. That includes things like the Cobra S/C, the 1000-hp Mustang concept, and even the original “Workhorse 1” Ford GT prototype.
Prices are bound to be astronomical, as is the norm with most things directly related to Carroll himself. Cobra Daytona coupes are one of many examples for this huge money-grab, which happens at every major auction nationwide. It might be because of his passing, but there’s no doubt that Shelby items have gone no where but up in price.
Given that most of us are made out of standard-grade American paychecks, what would be your pick from this video below? Would you get one of the real original Cobras? Would you get the history-laden Cobra Daytona coupe? Or would you go a bit modern and get that red Ford GT? For me, it is an easy choice: I’d have the Cobra Daytona. Classic “styled by the wind” body lines, plus a Kamm tail and racing pedigree. That’s about all I really need from a collector car!
