Rare Mach 1 Twister Up for Auction

Take for example this 1970 Mach 1 Twister Special 428 Cobra Jet up for sale at an upcoming Mecum auction in Kansas Dec. 5 – 7.  The limited-edition car is one of 96 specially ordered and consecutively numbered Mustangs made exclusively for Ford Kansas City sales district managers.

Built in 1969, the rare yellow Mach 1 up for sale at the Kansas Meca show is one of 48 Twister Specials built with the 428 CI super cobra jet engines.  It also features a C6 automatic transmission, a factory drag-pack options and Magnum 500 wheels with Firestone wide oval tires.

Making this Mach 1 Twister even more of a collector’s item is the fact that it only has 9,366 original miles on the odometer.

Hey, maybe Santa will let you add one more gift to that Holiday list. But at the price this Mustang is likely to go for, you’ll probably have to cross out everything else you wanted for Christmas.
