So how is the Mustang faring in the U.K.?

Apparently pretty good, with the U.K. accounting for 1,000 of the 3,500 right-hand-drive Mustangs shipped overseas so far, according to a Wards Auto report.

Nearly 80% of all U.K. Mustang buyers have opted for the fastback body style over the convertible. Even more interesting, 68% have made the 416-hp 5.0L V-8 their Mustang of choice, which I imagine has caught Ford a bit off guard, considering that European markets were a main inspiration for the more fuel-efficient four-banger.

In addition, more than half of the U.K. buyers also opted for a manual over the automatic transmission.

When it comes to colors, Race Red is the most popular, which accounted for 20% of orders. Magnetic Silver (17%), Shadow Black (15%), Triple Yellow (9%) and Ruby Red (7%) round off the list for the top five colors.
