Pristine 2000 Cobra R Is Quite the Rare eBay Find

Then again, a 2000 Cobra R with only 85 miles on the odometer that’s listed for sale on eBay is bound to spark interest on any website devoted to cars. After all, only 300 units of the car were ever built.

Powered by a 385-horsepower 5.4-liter V8, the Cobra R is a track icon in its own right. Long before the current GT350 stole the hearts of Mustang fans, this car was exciting diehard performance enthusiasts with features like an independent rear suspension, a race-ready fuel cell, and bare-bones interior.

This one still has the interior covered in plastic from the factory; a sign of the car’s pristine condition. That certainly would explain why the asking price on eBay is $79,995 … more than $26,000 over the original list price for the car.
