New ‘Transformers’ Decepticon Barricade Revealed

When the next Transformers hits the big screen, there will be a new gigantic Mustang robot doing battle in the gargantuan movie franchise.

Michael Bay, the director of the film, has unveiled that a S550 will serve as the new Decepticon Barricade, as highlighted in a Motor Authority report.

Of course, the news shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, given that since the first installment of Transformers, Barricade was played by a fifth-generation Saleen Mustang.

The new Barricade features many of the same traits as the previous one, such as the protective bars up front and the “to punish and enslave” tag on its rear fenders. New features include blacked-out headlight surrounds, vented hood, and A-pillar-mounted spotlights.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait sometime to see the new Barricade in action. The new movie, entitled Transformers: The Last Knight, isn’t set to premiere until June 23, 2017.
