New Bama GT Supercharger Kit Unleashes the Power
If you keep finding the name Bama Performance popping up with references to power and the new Mustang, just know there’s a good reason why.
The team is building quite a rep when it comes to boosting the output on the S550, as demonstrated in the video below that highlights the new Bama Supercharger Kit for the new Mustang GT. She’s putting down 687 RWHP and 510 RWTQ, as captured by American Muscle.
The Supercharger, which will be available soon to GT owners, is a front fed 2.9L Whipple with 123mm Mass Air Housing and 132mm elliptical throttle body. During a recent test run on a 1/8-mile track in North Carolina, the car went 6.37 @ 114.8 MPH, which should give it a pass of 9.70 to 9.80 in the 1/4-mile, says Bama.
If so, that’ll beat the performance team’s previous nitrous record of 9.91 seconds, which is pretty darn impressive in itself.
