Mustang RTR Spec 3 at Barrett Jackson
When Mustang guys team up for charity, it’s always a special time! This week at the Barrett Jackson Auction at Scottsdale, RTR Founder Vaughn Gittin, Jr and Mothers Polish teamed up to create a special package of the RTR Mustang known as the Spec 3. It has unique overfenders, front lip, candy red and matte-stripe paint job, and of course far more power for the Nitto NT05 rear tires to put down to the ground.
That stunning color is thanks to a BASF R-M Onyx HD 2 Stage Candy Carizzma Waterborne Paint shot by Deshler’s in Orange, CA. The design was created by Kelly and Son: The Crazy Painters in Bellflower, CA.
The 5.0L V8 puts down more power thanks to a Ford Racing Supercharger, RTR Axle-Back Exhaust, K&N Filter, and American Racing Headers and X-Pipe to make 650 horsepower.
Cool cars need stance and that’s exactly what the Spec 3 has using RTR Coilovers built by JRi. Anyone in road racing will recognize that name and know that means the new owner will be getting a very capable suspension. Whiteline Performance helps make the RTR Spec 3 move “Flat Out”!
The RTR sold for $110,000 and that money was given to the TGen Foundation, who funds biomedical research for treatments, therapies, and cures for many dieses including autism, tumors, cancer, and more.
