Mach Mustang Mod Could Be Most Radical Ever

After looking at modified Mustangs day in and day out, nothing really fazes us anymore. At least, that’s what we thought until this came along.

This ’69 Ford Mustang Mach feature we came across in a “Mustang and Fords” story done by Eckert’s Rod and Custom in Molalla, Oregon still has us a bit rattled.

Using the power plant from 2006 Ford GT, the car has been modified with a mid-engine 5.4-liter all-aluminum supercharged four-cam mod-motor, backed by the GTs Ricardo six-speed transaxle. In addition, it features a 4-liter Whipplecharger and Motec engine management, which produces an earth-shattering 720 horsepower out of the rear wheels.

Touted as simply “Mach Forty” as a derivative of the original GT40, the custom piece also features a number of unique interior details such as a leather covered dash and console to name a few.

How’s that for a work of art?
