How About a Shelby GT500 Golf Car(t)?

Here’s one we missed this summer with all the focus on tracking as many renderings we could find of the new 2015 Mustang – a new Ford Shelby GT500 golf car.

Any takers?

Oh, yeah – with colder temperatures settling in across the U.S. in a lot of places we might be a little late getting you the info. Then again, maybe you’re looking to pick up a new Mustang themed item for Christmas for a friend or for your own personal collection.

Although, we’re betting at around $15,000 for this golf cruiser it’s likely the latter unless it’s a really, really good friend.

The Shelby GT500 golf car features official Shelby GT500 badging, a custom formed, hand-laid fiberglass front body and custom 12 inch aluminum wheels. It’s equipped with a 48 volt electric drivetrain with DC motor powered by six 8-V deep cycle with a 48-V charger.

The golf car’s top speed is 19.5 mph, which probably won’t shatter any records in between holes, but it’ll likely make you the envy of the greens.  Also, with reports that Ford will likely discontinue making the real Shelby GT500 with the next generation, this golfer could become a collector’s item as well.
