Seat Upgrade??

I'm considering a new pair of seats. Corbeau and Procar come to mind. Recaros are great seats but they're out of my price range.

I'd appreciate hearing of member experience with seat swaps.

I went with the Corbeau LG1 when one of my drivers seat motors went out. I went with this one because it was a 'race' seat with the lowest side bolsters. I've had full on racing seats that can sometimes make it difficult to get in and out of. I'm an old fart so this was a strong consideration in my decision making. It also looked like it had the most seat cushion. In fact I was worried about the seat being two low and bought the 1" risers for the seat base but turns out with the extra seat padding it actually made the seat taller than the stock one which is OK because I used to drive looking over the dash and under the steering wheel. Now I can actually see over the wheel. lol. Anyways, I thought it was the best compromise and am very happy with it.

On a side note, they are only sold in pairs. I can't install the passenger one yet because my kid is too small and still rides in a car seat. With my harness bar across the back seat I have to put him in the front. Though the Corbeau guy said that a child seat will work fine with it, he did state that they were not designed for that and he could not recommend me doing it. So what to do with the extra seat? He upsold me on a desk chair base and I'm currently sitting in it here at work. I will install it in the car when he's bigger, but until then I have the most comfortable desk chair that I've ever had.

07 Boss,

Thanks for the info on your Corbeau install.. That is one righteous desk chair I'd say.

The munchkin is almost out of his kid seat so it will go into the car pretty soon.

Here's some pictures of mine. It's been a while but they were not hard to install.
