very pretty cars. Quite the redesign over the 69, 70.

I never liked the 71-73 back in the day, heck didn't even until 15 years ago and they started to grow on me. They were just too big looking and I always compared them to my 70.

Now I really like them. Most people may not realize it (I didn't either until I started watching auctions on TV years ago) but AFAIK the 71 Boss 351 was the highest rated HP Mustang of the whole 1st generation. Solid lifters, 351 Cleveland rated at 375hp. I know the boss9s and cobra jets were underrated, but still, to rate it at 375 in 71 when everyone thought the HP war was over is pretty impressive.

I also didn't like how large they became compared to the 65-70 models... I also wasn't very fond of the huge blind spot caused by rear glass in the sports roof, as you couldn't see squat from behind you... I would often refer to the 71-73 models as the flatback rather than sports roof or fastback lol.

Blind spot couldn't be any worse than my new one, it might as well not have a back window lol.

Lee! At least your new one has an actual slope in the rear glass of the roof line... The 71-73 sports roof cars had no slope to them at all, but rather completely flat lol.

Guess I could take the wing and Gurney flap off,

Should really pick up some top end without all that drag hahaha.

No question about the wing, it's definitely tall enough for obstructing rear view visibility.... You might also want to consider installing a rear-view camera as a possible solution.

It's got one. I just can't get used to using them and feeling comfortable. Had the Jeep 8 years now and I still can't fully use it with trust.

I'm a mirrors and line of sight type person.

AKA old man I guess.

I know exactly where you're coming from Lee... I also don't feel comfortable enough when it comes to relying upon rear view cameras, even when driving the wife's 2020 Escape, I still prefer using the mirrors over the rear-view camera... As for AKA old man goes, I'm right up there with you at 65
